have been specially made to represent various field wear and

to the wear of your helmet (or intended wear if you are producing
a reproduction), apply it and you have a pre-aged helmet decal

How to apply your Decals
- working examples: |
|
Italian
Waffen SS 29. Waffen-Grenadier-Division Helmet Decal: This
decal replicates one being used on a genuine Italian M33 Waffen
SS Grenadier Division helmet. The helmet is in relic condition
and requires a suitable relic condition decal. |
|
German
Army Paratrooper M37 Helmet Decals: The decals
in this section demonstrates them being used on a reproduction
M37 Model German Para Helmet with M38 Fittings. The steps below
show how the new helmet is given a 'old' lease of life by the
application of two pre-aged Army helmet decals and then some
light ageing to the helmet. |
Decals in Action - several
pictures to view: |
|
Runic No 1: This decal is applied
directly to an original M35 satin black helmet. It has then
been sprayed using Plasti-Kote acrylic sealer. This helmet will
then be further restified along with the decal as the sealer
makes it too new looking. I wanted to demonstrate how good the
helmet looks with the decal even before further ageing. |
|
NS Party No 3: This decal is
on the same helmet as the one above. It is of course the worn
national colour's. I chose this one as it has a nice wear patter
and aged effect. This one is applied and then sealed and further
restification will be carried out. It looks great even in this
'new', sealed condition! |
|
Runic No5: This decal was used
on a M42 helmet, it is an early pattern runic replica decal
and I wanted one that was 'yellowed' with age to match the very
aged whitewash on the helmet. It replicates a decal applied
in the field by the soldier or unit from old stock. The decal
and helmet were further aged after application. |
