M1C Chincup Airborne Paratrooper: This is a reproduction
M1 M2 or M1C paratrooper chincup. It is manufactured from
100% leather and made in two part chamois and cow leather
as the originals were.
Notice the accurate five holes each strap and how the first
hole starts very near the chincup, so many replicas place
the holes incorrectly.
Also notice how the chamois ends at approximately the second
hole - just like the originals!
I believe this is the best quality reproduction WWII American
Helmet chin-cup out there! This represents a chincup made
in 1942, which made it into the war with the African,
Italian & Normandy invasions. This is a superb bit of
kit and really helps to finish your Airborne or paratrooper
helmet liner!
