M38 Model Fallschirmjägerhelm (Paratroopers Helmet) Early War: This is a first class reproduction Fallschirmjager Helmet. It is based on a M38 model shell, with standard early pattern helmet bolts and M38 pattern early war stamped liner and double decals. This helmet is based on one used in early Airborne operations in Norway and Denmark. It has been painted in Luftwaffe grey/green and there is light rust across the helmet. There is a Luftwaffe eagle on one side approximately 99.9% complete and National colour's on the other at approx. 96% complete. The inner lining is worn and aged, again to reflect the period of use and 60+ years of ageing. Notice the rust coming through the paintwork in several places and the crackling to the decals, all adding to the authenticity yet the decals have prevent most of the rust in that area! There is a makers mark - ET71 and batch number on the inner rim. Notice how well the leather has been aged and how the shell has lovely dark patina . This is a beautiful helmet and based on an original. This helmet would make a superb item in you fallschirmjäger collection. It would make a great filler till you get a genuine M38 early campaigns helmet.
