M38 Model Fallschirmjägerhelm (Paratroopers Helmet) Normandy: This is a first class reproduction Fallschirmjager Helmet. It is based on a M38 model shell, with standard early pattern helmet bolts and M38 pattern late war (RB numbered ), liner. This helmet is based on one used at Normandy. It was originally Army grey/green but has been re-painted in thick tan, reds & greens, typical Normandy colour's. There is a Luftwaffe eagle on one side approximately 99.9% complete. The inner lining is worn and aged, again to reflect the period of use and 60+ years of ageing. Notice the rust coming through the paintwork in several places and the crackling to the paint, all adding to the authenticity. There is a makers mark - ET71 and batch number on the inner rim and an 'Acceptance Stamp' inside the crown of the shell. Notice how well the leather has been aged and how the shell has lovely dark camouflage colour's polished up and restored to a fine sheen. This is a beautiful helmet and based on an original. This helmet would make a superb item in you fallschirmjäger collection. It would make a great filler till you get a genuine M38 Normandy helmet. Sold. But ask me about having one made for you!
