NCO Crusher Cap: This is a first class reproduction
of an SS NCO crusher cap showing ageing, field markings,
discoloration and wear.
This leather peaked (uncut), crusher cap was
worn by NCO's in the Infantry Divisions during WW2. It is
discolored from age and wear and has several dirt markings
& minor holes.The black band is also very stained and
showing age in places! Notice also the faded white piping
and discoloration to the headband. The leather peak is un-cut
(it was left large to allow the soldier to cut the peak to
size) and shows wrinkle and age marks to the leather upper
surface.
Notice the tarnish to the Waffen SS eagle and
the deaths head, It is also aged on the inside & is a
size to medium small and is perfectly wearable. The crusher
was of course manufactured to allow it to be folded and stored
within the uniform and this had a very popular 'crushed' look
to it. A very sought after item in as a reproduction!
