U-Boat Captains Officers Peaked Cap: This is a first class reproduction of a Kriegsmarine U-Boat Commanders Peaked cap showing ageing, oil markings, discoloration and wear. The white top is removable. This peaked cap was worn by U-boat commanders during WW2. It is lightly discolored from age and wear and has several oil and dirt markings. The pictures do not show the cap badge devices as worn by most U-boat crews, these are not included in the item price, however you can get £10 reduction and a free fitting fee if you buy a device together with the u-boat cap. This cap is a first rate reproduction, many white topped u-boat caps were private purchases and this one has a list of features such as cork pressure liner, genuine cream silk lining (worn and loose in many places) and unmarked liner protector. Notice the tarnish to the eagle sides and the anchor buttons to the side - superb! The cap is also very 'full' in shape and is swept rearwards, just as most Commanders chose to wear them! This cap is a size 59 and is perfectly wearable. This is a high quality aged peaked cap from a U-Boat Captain!
