M38 Model Fallschirmjägerhelm (Paratroopers Helmet) Italy - Cassino: This is a first class reproduction Fallschirmjager Helmet. It is based on a M38 model shell, with standard early pattern helmet bolts. This helmet is based on one used at Monte Cassino. It was originally luftwaffe grey/blue but has been re-sprayed in sand (Mediterranean), colour and very faint green. There was a luftwaffe decal on one side but this has been removed but the outline can still be seen! The inner lining is worn and aged, again to reflect the period of use and 60+ years of ageing. Notice the rust coming through the paintwork in several places and the crackling to the tan paint, all adding to the authenticity. This helmet would make a superb item in you fallschirmjäger collection. It would make a great filler till you get a genuine M38 Cassino helmet which is highly unlikely unless you have approx £8000+ to spare! A great present for the military paratrooper collector!
