M36 Model Luftwaffe Fallschirmjägerhelm: This is a first class reproduction of a Luftwaffe, 1st model Fallschirmjager Helmet. It is based on a very rare M36 model shell and with the second version chinstrap's. A very rare helmet. This helmet is based on one used at Fallschimjaeger Training School by the Luftwaffe. It has its original Army apple green colour and double decals which are 100% intact. This helmet represents very light wear and is almost mint condition but with 60+ years of ageing! The owner has has initials cut into the leather 'CKL'. The second version used carbine clips for the chinstrap as opposed to the first version which looped through the eyelets. Here are some points to note: The early pattern Luftwaffe eagle; the slots and grommets; the three point split pin suspension system; the aluminium liner band; the sponge 3 point padding; the leather 8 finger liner with initials; the stamp dated 1938 in the dome; the leather chinstrap's and carbine clips. Finally it is stamped 'ET71' and '7115'. This helmet has been carefully reproduced from original drawings and photographs. This helmet would make a superb item in you fallschirmjäger collection. It would make a great filler till you get a genuine M36 helmet which is highly unlikely as it is thought that only two M36's survived the war! I make no apologies on the price! This helmet has taken hours of work spread over several months. The shell has been reshaped, cut and sanded etc, the padding and liner and aluminium rim have all been hand made as have the chinstrap's etc. The paint has been aged yet left 100% intact - extremely hard to do. Try Googling for a M36 German Paratrooper Helmet and see what comes up! If you are a discerning Fallschirmjager Helmet collector then you will want this in your collection!
