WW2 Luftwaffe Officers Peaked Cap: This is a first class reproduction of a Luftwaffe Officers Private purchase peaked cap showing ageing, field markings, discoloration, moth holes and wear. This particular cap is named to a Fallschirmjaeger (Paratrooper), Officer 'Muller. FJ. FJR I/II' but at no extra charge I can place any name and Luftwaffe unit you desire! Notice also the faded black headband and discoloration to the headband. Now the real detail - the peak is correctly coloured green on the underside. The owners has replaced the cork forehead pad with sponge which of course is now hard and brittle in places. The front roundel is correctly coloured in gold - many replicas miss this point on private made caps. The cap is actually slightly darker than in the pictures due to flash photography. Notice the tarnish to the bullion insignia and there is even a few moth holes the the left hand side. It is also aged on the inside & is a large size and is perfectly wearable. The list goes on: yellowing to the cellulose liner protector, staining to the inner lining, stains and wear to the crown etc! Finally it also smells musty and old!
