Adolf Hiltler Officers Peaked Cap: This is a first
class reproduction of a Leibstandarte Adolf
Hitler Officers Peaked cap showing extensive ageing, moth
damage discoloration and peak distortion.
This peaked cap represents one worn by the Leibstandarte
Adolf Hitler latterly of the Waffen SS. It is a Officers cap.
It has extensive wear and is also named to the owner. The
outside is pretty much intact other than some small moth holes
at the rear. The inside has had extensive damage and moth
infestation resulting in one third of the liner damage. The
cap is named to 'G.A. Lau Leibstandarte AH' within the celluloid
makers mark.
The aluminium all shows appropriate ageing as
does the Deaths Head, SS Swastika eagle badge and side buttons.
The peak has distortion and the headband liner is detach at
the front where the stitching has deterioated with age. Notice
the yellowing to the white trim and the cloth generally! An
original in this condition will sell for approximately £7000,
so this is a great substitute in your collection till you
can afford an original.
