Waffen SS NCO Peaked Cap Battle Damaged: This is a first class reproduction of a Waffen SS NCO's peaked cap with extensive field wear, ageing and battle damage. This peaked cap represents one worn by the field divisions of the Waffen SS. It is a Non Commissioned Officers (NCO) cap. It has extensive wear and is also named to the owner. The peak is showing the fibre reinforcement material after being burn by being left on the exhaust pipe of a panzer tank! The chinstrap has been replaced by an authentic strip of leather representing the original being destroyed during field conditions. Both the Waffen SS eagle and Deaths Head badge are suitable aged as are the chinstrap retaining buttons. Notice the yellow ageing to the inside of the liner as well as extensive general wear and ageing! A great present for the military or Waffen SS collector!
