M37 Model with M38 liner Fallschirmjägerhelm (Paratroopers Helmet Cassino): This is a first class reproduction Fallschirmjager Helmet. It is based on a very rare M37 model shell, with standard early pattern helmet bolts and a single replacement M35 helmet bolt. It has been modified using M38 liner which was common practice in mid-late war when earlier produced models were pressed into service. This helmet is based on one used at Monte Cassino. It was originally luftwaffe grey/blue but has been resprayed in sand (Mediterranean), colour. The decal is a second pattern eagle and is 99.9% intact. The inner lining is worn and aged, again to reflect the period of use and 60+ years of ageing. The owner has added a camo net held in place with metal wire, which is considerably rusted and worn, this helps to add to the authenticity and the 'personalised look. This helmet would make a superb item in you fallschirmjäger collection. It would make a great filler till you get a genuine M37 Cassino helmet which is highly unlikely as it is thought that no M37's survived the war! This item comes in a suitable aged box and a 'send home' label! A great present for the military collector!
