M35 Model
Waffen SS Winter Cover: This is a superb reproduction
of a M35 early war SS parade helmet. It has the original satin
black paint scheme covered with an improvised white cloth
cover. There is no liner, but this helmets represents being
pressed into service in winter late 1944 or early 1945 following
parade ground use!
It has the early pattern museum quality 'SS'
runes on the right hand side and the national swastica on
the left hand side, both showing appropriate wear and ageing.
This combination of decals was discontinued later in the war.
The black paintwork is almost untouched due to its late entry
into the war and its improvised cover. This helmet will continue
to be aged, outside, until bought, the pictures show the helmet
cover during one of its many wetting and drying sessions!
