It is a mid to late war copy with aluminium side and slotted rear bolts. It was originally dark apple green in colour and shows appropriate ageing. It has been repained in white for winter camouflage (Soviet Union), As you can see the eagle decal is a museum quality 2'd version and 100% intact.

The inner lining is very well maintained yet aged, again to reflect the period of use and 60+ years of ageing. There are two stamps in the liner leather and there is faint stampings on the inner shell. Finally there is a owners name painted on the inside rim.

This helmet would make a superb item in your Fallschirmjäger collection. It would make a great filler till you get a genuine Winter camouflage helmet. This is not a cheap paint job as found on most well known auction sites - effort and time has been spent to get it 'correct'!

This item comes in a suitable aged box! A great present for the military collector!
