Italian Waffen SS M33 Helmet - German Grenadier Regiment 29: This is a genuine Italian pre World War Two helmet with a, post war Waffen SS single decal. This helmet would have served with the Italian Waffen Grenadier Regiment 29 under the control of the Germans in WW2. The helmet shell is marked 'P69' at the rear and the liner is marked '60' in small pin holes, which is standard way of marking the liner/helmet size. The liner also appears to have a circular manufacturers mark but I cannot make out the lettering (see picture below). I think the leather chinstrap may be a replacement as the quality feels too good for such an old helmet. The camouflage net is original and is damaged in places but which does add to the great look of this helmet! The helmet colour is Waffen SS field grey/green and it has a lovely dark/aged patina to pretty much the whole shell. I've also added a 'take home' label with an Italian stamp, just to finish off this wonderful helmet!
