German M42 7./St.G I Graf Zeppelin Helmet : This is a genuine German WW2 M42 helmet repainted in matt Luftwaffe blue-grey. It has the hand painted insignia of the 7./St.G I. exactly as the originals. The unit was formed as part of the strike component of the aircraft carrier Graf Zeppelin and then became the 7th Staffel in July 1940.

This is a beautiful aged helmet with lots of character. It has the Luftwaffe acceptance stamp, a genuine liner band and a reproduction chinstrap, suitably aged! The helmet has very faint manufacturer and batch number marking but both are unreadable. The decal is hand painted as the originals were and is keeping with the ageing of the helmet!
