German M42 Waffen SS Helmet : This is a genuine German WW2 helmet painted originally in field grey and repainted with winter camouflage and marked with the early pattern Waffen SS runes decal and has several markings in various places. The helmet has two markings: 'ckl66' and '3810' at the rear edge, which are the manufacturer (Eisen-und Hüttenwerke, AG Thale/Harz), size(66 - Large) and batch/production numbers. There is an army acceptance stamp dated 1942 inside the helmet shell. The liner is reproduction but has been aged in keeping with the helmet condition and compliments the helmet fully. The helmet is 100% genuine German and the decal, rivets and paint work are post war! A great item for the Waffen SS, or German military helmet collector.
