German M35 Africa Korp Helmet & Sand Drivers Goggles: This is a genuine German WW2 helmet painted originally in satin black repainted post war in army green and finally repainted in Rommel's Africa Korp sand colour. Post war double decals and name have also been applied. Genuine Africa Korp driving goggles are also included. The goggles have a post war replacement rear band otherwise are 100% original. This combination of helmet & drivers goggles would have been worn by vehicle drivers including motorcycle & tank crews. It has the German National Colours decal on the right hand side and the Heer (Army) eagle decal on the left hand side, both showing appropriate wear, overpainting and ageing. This combination of decals was discontinued later in the war. The helmet has two original markings: 'N.4' at the rear edge - which is the batch or production number and NS64 which is the manufacturer number and helmet size (64). This is a reasonably rare size of helmet and batch number combination). There is a name painted inside the rear rim 'H. Fischer'. I repeat the helmet is 100% genuine, the goggles are 100% genuine (with replacement rear strap & worth over £35 individually) and the decals & paintwork are post war! A great item for the Africa Korp or German Helmet collector!
