Luftwaffe Ground Assault Badge: The Luftwaffe Ground Assault Badge was created in 1943 to honor Air Force personnel that took part in ground military actions. This of course included German Paratrooper units.

This is a late war version without makers mark. It is single cast and has the integral hook and hinge and the 'shepherds crook' pin. There are traces of original grey/blue paint to the clouds and mountains and about 75% black paint to the lightening bolt. These badges are becoming rare and I would say this one is in approx 85% good condition and has been used in the field.
