British Mark
One (MK1) Paratrooper Helmet fibre-rim: This is a
first class reproduction of a British Mk1
fibre rim Paratrooper Helmet 1942 showing ageing, camo markings,
discoloration and heavy wear.
This helmet would have been used in the majority of the early
to late British Airborne Operations in WW2. It has the brass
rivets replaced the stitching normally used to fix the Y-piece.
It was not uncommon to find both stitched and riveted 'Y'
straps on one helmet!
It has been painted up in a camouflage pattern used by the
1st Airborne Task Force for operation Operation Dragoon, the
invasion of Southern France, during World War II. It is Tan
and Green camouflage colour's which have been heavily worn
and rusted. There is also a Lieutenants rank marking to the
front which is almost impossible to see, which reflects the
one in the Michel de Trez book - First Airborne Task Force:
Pictorial History of the Allied Paratroopers in the Invasion
of Southern France.
This is a high quality aged helmet. Email
me for your custom made one to your specification!
